Woah. That looks intense. I guess retirement didn't suit Soderberg...
Yep, very happy that he is back in a big way.

And I haven't heard much about Hereditary, but it's going on my list.
avclub was all over Hereditary.

That looks REALLY good.
I've seen a lot of writers/critics talk about how horrifying this movie is. I've decided to stop reading about it now because I don't want to ruin it or raise my expectations beyond a reasonable level.

same
That looks awesome.
Finally got around to watching The Killing of a Sacred Deer. Not pure horror, but still pretty fucked up. Given that this is Yorgos Lanthimos' follow up to The Lobster, I was expecting more of a tragic dark comedy. There was no comedy.
Yeah that one stuck with me for a while. Still haunts me a little.
Barry Keoghan has got to be the creepiest young actor working right now.
Watched "Better Watch Out", which is a pretty nifty little thriller that works best if I don't really tell you almost anything about it, and if you don't watch the trailer (I figured out some stuff from it that would have worked much better if I hadn't). Basically it's a babysitter in trouble movie, but the villian(s) are truly nasty, and it's a bit darker than your normal one of these.

That's on my list, but have been falling way behind on my movie watching routine.

Also, I keep hearing really good things about The Endless from the same team behind Spring, which I thought was really underrated in a modern Lovecraftian sort of style.
This has also been getting a lot of buzz, and it helps that the cast is solid too.

AVclub was "meh" on it, but I think it depends on what you are expecting.
