I wish you would have just said that up front. We could have saved about 5 pages of posts. How much it helps the Cards and how much it hurts us doesn't matter. If it gives them just a 1-game edge every season, it's still bullshit.

That was in response to one of <i>your</i> posts. <b>3 days ago</b>. And it was the third of probably 5 times times I said I would like to see the yearly series shortened to lessen the disparage with the cards/royals series in this thread.
So for the 6th time, I am and always have been very well aware that it's usually easier to face the royals than the white sox. I've said that from the very beginning. I've said that's the thing I don't like about it. I bitch about that every season, and have the audio files and an annoyed wife to prove it, this isn't some new concept to me. Hell, I complain about it to anyone who will listen. Every cubs fan does, everyone gets this. Again, that's why I suggested making it 3 games so that the small difference (which is still an educated guess as to what that difference would be) is lessened, but the fans (not all obviously, but most of the fans) as well as the teams, media and MLB, get what they want-- an extremely highly watched, talked about and generally enjoyed marquee crosstown series that shows up on numerous "baseball's best rivalries" lists each year.
