Yep. The people that make jokes about it have never had to deal with having it or a loved one having it.

If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

Yeah, I don't know how you could think that was a good idea. BP sure didn't waste any time getting rid of him.

^ Ha, that's pretty neat. The fact that it happened in an AL park is awesome.
http://m.mlb.com/cutfour/2015/08/17/1434...uiz-89-815 The last question made me laugh. I guess a hospital in Kansas City set a record for babies born in July (nine months after the Royals postseason run....hmmmm....).

WS games 5-7 are scheduled to take place in November.

Does MLB.tv blackout playoff games?

Quote:Does MLB.tv blackout playoff games? I think it's a whole different product that you have to buy. And if you can access the games on MLB.TV, I think you can only do it with cable authentication (the thing where you have to enter your cable/satellite provider account details so they can authenticate that your cable package includes TBS or whatever other channel).

So I have basic cable (provided free from my ISP) and the watch MLB through my AppleTV. I was under the impression that they would force us to watch it on cable.

I would assume that you would have to watch on standard TV. It's conceivable there might be some games available online, but probably not.

On a related note, it sounds like MLB is nearing a deal with Fox to stream in-market games for the teams where Fox holds local broadcasting rights.
However, this article indicates that Comcast isn't agreeing to MLB's requirements, so it doesn't seem like Cubs games are likely to be streamed for folks in the blackout zone next year. Plus, even if Comcast cut a deal, I assume they would still need to figure out the WGN & WLS games.
