Those are doable, unobtrusive, and in the case of the batter's box, perhaps already a rule.

I approve of them too, though with regard to #1, the bias should be toward getting the calls right, not rushing the decision to challenge. How much time do managers have to challenge from the dugout?

It sounds like the umps have the authority to call a strike in regard to rule 2. I can't wait to see the first guy that gets strike 3 called because he stepped out ?

I do look forward to that.

 

But it seems to me that enforcing this and not enforcing the 12 second rule on the pitchers will be problematic. It's got to cut both ways.

It's sounds like guys will be given warnings first and if they keep doing it then they will have a strike called. I never understood getting out of the box after every pitch anyway. There is no reason for it.
