He's also handsome, charismatic, boisterous, bullish, and inspires both adoration and intense jealousy, even hatred...there's a reason they're making a movie about the guy, and that Brad Pitt is going to play him.

As for Dirk's laughable, juvenile, absurd quote, I'll just let it sit there and gather scorn...it's a "logic fail" question that has been blasted to smithereens so many times on the internet that I'll just let Butch's post answer it here.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

It's gay to point out the obvious fact that Beane doesn't look like other GM's? That point was mentioned in the book.
If they were doing JIM HENDRY: THE MOVIE would they cast Pitt to play the role? I'm thinking more along the lines of the guy who played Norm on Cheers.

I think he's got a side we don't see too much. He's pretty outgoing and seems like a cool dude when he'll ever like join Len & Bob in the booth for example. He was a well respected coach at Creighton for awhile too, even won the NCAA Coach of the Year award.
