I recognize that this is primarily a sports forum. People can agree with each other. People can disagree with each other. Sometimes it's best to agree to disagree on an opinion as well as being able to respect a persons opinion.

Sons of Ivy started out as a private forum. In 2008 the membership decided to go public. But many of the members put out the unwelcome mat. Maybe it would be best that this forum would just go back to being a private forum again. Everytime a new member registers out here you make them well aware that they are not welcome.

I may be 17, but it's you 30,40,50 year old men out here that are the ones that really need to grow up.

I posted about this whole deal because I think there's an argument to be made, not becasue I favor the illusion of supply-side economics or a push toward a socialized society... We live in a free society, free to talk about boobs, anal sex, voodoo economics, and the "S" word (socialism). As it pertains to baseball, I think the owners collectively agreed to limit their spending, not 80's style collusion, per se. That's all.

As for the $8 an hour Jewel bag boy, I was one in the 80's... and I don't think the cost of a Big Mac Meal and a proper beer is too much to make for an hour of hauling folks shit out to their car. Just my opinion...
