Frustrating, Yes.  Sad, Yes.  I don’t know how dumb the loss was.  Cubs were competitive against a much better lineup.

Cubs decided against adding proven closer to roster in the offseason so expect more blown saves and losses in 9th for the season.

Hoping that Chris Young could unlock his magic chest and turn Fulmer into a lockdown closer - like we have grown accustomed to over the past seasons - but that doesn’t appear to be the case this young season.

At the ballpark ready for Cubs to cease their losing streak. Ha

Friday afternoon at Wrigley with Cubs up by 9 runs and in the sun

Yeah, I’m not complaining

Smyly is giving up way too many hits for the Cubs to be up 12-0

I’m having a really good day after a terrible week so it could happen

Hell yeah, enjoy man. Sorry to hear about the terrible week.

The boys are putting on another offensive show today too. 12-0 and still a long way to go. Love to see it.

Ivy -- enjoy the afternoon! Are you in the bleachers?

I’m getting close to declaring them good. Need a closer though as Fulmer seems better suited in a setup role.

I'm going to wait until the end of this homestand to make any proclamations, but I think this team is pretty solid and fun to watch.

Memorial Day for me. But they’re clearly a more competitive team than they’ve been the last few years. That’s something.

It's time to make some roster moves.

I wouldn't expect much but it's probably time for a bullpen shakeup and for Mervis to get his chance to occupy 1B.

Perhaps Fulmer discovers a health issue but likely another week before position players are included in roster moves

Another nice win. Luckily the bullpen wasn't much of a factor. And are we seeing Steele emerge as our ace? He's been ridiculous.

Steele is legit.

This team is definitely more fun to watch. It would be great if they could make some roster moves to address some of their weaknesses, but for now I'm trying to enjoy watching a team that looks like it could be relevant. It feels like it's been a long time...
