MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
That's a shame.

I don't care how we beat them as long as we beat them.

I truly hope we'll get that opportunity. If we field the same or a similar lineup as today's, we're in big trouble.

If Milton can suit up for a couple of games this weekend, I really wanna believe that he'll run wild on Cardinal pitching.

Anyone see the curveball Joba threw Victor Martinez? He swung and missed and the damn ball almost went between his legs, it ended up hitting him in the back foot.

I was checking out GatewayRedbirds.com and came across this gold nugget.

Albert sure didn't pick a very good time to bail on us. Perhaps he wakes up after another frustrating loss.

You know, comments like this remind me how unreal and pressure filled it must be to be Albert Pujols. It's part of the deal, I definitely get that, but man oh man, he gets called out and said to have "bailed" on the team on a day when he drove in a run, reached base twice, made a great read on a ball to go first to third, and scores a run and had an on base percentage of .400. This all just makes his exploits even more amazing to me...he also takes it all in stride, and from most accounts, is a great person as well as player. Amazing I tell you. It is my mission to never take one second of Albert Pujols for granted in all the years of my fandom.

Really, could they suck Pujols's dick more?

Zack Greinke just threw a complete game shutout at Texas - a pretty decent hitting team. Greinke is now 3-0 w/a .000 ERA and has only allowed 16 hits over the 3 starts. 34 consecutive scoreless innings for Greinke. Wow.

Holy Toledo, I didn't realize he was throwing that well. Sure would like it if the Royals could surprise everyone, and win that division.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance
