Just tuned in to the Cardinals game to hear Carpenter left early with some sort of injury. Not sure what it is and the announcers have no idea how serious it could be.

Looks like he batted to end the bottom half of the inning, so I'm guessing it's not an arm injury.

Uh oh. No word yet on the exact nature of the injury, but he didn't appear to roll an ankle or do anything minor during the tosses. The FSN St. Louis broadcast is speculating that Carpenter's ailment may be a rib injury, but that's unconfirmed at this time.
