That would be absolutely ridiculous. The guy's overpaid as it is. He looks like a top 10 pitcher in baseball for stretches but then disappears. You can't depend on him at all.

I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

He's 34 and still had something left on the tank; he hit .332 in 218 PA for the Red Sox in '08.
I don't know if he's gonna make more working for the Network than playing for a team, I guess so.
