MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
Throwing sliders at 95 mph would do that to a guy I suppose
I just want to drink beer and play atari

I don't see how this hurts the Cubs.

No structural damage saying he won't have to go the the DL.

I don't see how that helps the Cubs.

There is still time. That's the second time that shit has flared up on him this season.

I wonder if Chad Fox or Kevin Gregg are available.

I'm sure Marmol is still floating around somewhere.

Yeah, I was going to say I remember it being an issue before.

Didn't realize that Pirates are 3-13 over last 16 games after beating the Dodgers yesterday. Rumor of McCutchen trade / availability make round.

Heard those rumors and they make no sense. Why throw away the organization's future just because of a slow start? Also McCutchen is having his worst season by far, so the Pirates would be selling low.

But, hey, that sort of context never stopped the NY media from starting a bullshit trade rumor in the past.

I'm glad to see the Cubs slide this week isn't going to give up much ground.
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

That's a damned shame.

Remember when some of us wanted the Cubs to draft him instead of KB?
