MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
Bryant has stated he would want to play for Vegas if they ever got a team.

Harper hasn't said anything as far as I know.  That's why I said 'maybe Harper too.'

Kris Bryant isn't running off to play for an expansion team as soon as he's arbitration-eligible. They can't afford him and he's not going to play for a loser to be closer to mom. If a Las Vegas team wants to give the Cubs salary relief for a future, worn out Bryant...hallelujah.

What Bryant says to the press to please his homies means dick. That team has to go through Scott Boras. Relax.

I could definitely see KB in a Red Sox uniform though. His family is originally from the area, and his dad was drafted by that organization. Plus they can afford him.

Theo will outbid the Sox.

I will definitely play for the Des Plaines Muskrats if they ever get a team.

He said it in kind of an embarrassed way...like "I know this ain't what people are gonna want to hear but..."

I'm not saying he's going to end up playing for Vegas if they get a team--I'm just saying that I'd prefer them to not get a team if it was up to me so there's one less thing to pull him out of Chicago.

I agree that what he says in front of a microphone more than likely doesn't mean anything--we don't know one way or another.

My guess is that he meant it but just because he may have a desire to play for an MLB Vegas team is worlds away from him doing that (especially cause they won't have a team I'm guessing).

I don't see Vegas getting a team anytime soon.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

Not good.  The Nationals might actually live up to their potential.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

On one hand, it's easy to see why they would think that reaching the NLDS is not enough, with all of the talent they have. On the other hand, it would be very difficult to get a manager with conditions like that.

No it wouldn't.

Dream job for any manager to get to head that team.

Super bummed to see this.

Already depressed enough and now things just got harder.

Sad end to his career, that's for sure.

I don't think it matters one way or another.

Looks like Alex Cora is going to manage the Red Sox.
