I don't get it either. I'm still kind of in shock over the precipitous decline of the Brewers last season. I don't want to look it up, but I feel like they were still in first place deep into August, no? And then they completely disappeared.

Yeah they were in it until late August. Watching the Cubs contribute to their decline was very satisfying late in the season.

I heard Doug Melvin on MLB radio yesterday and he said only the Braves and A's scored less runs over the last month of the year than the Brewers.  That is why they fell apart and I loved every bit of it.

May look like a petty criminal but sounds like they have him for a felony. 

 

Surprised that whomever represents him didn't attempt some type of settlement before charges filed and press got wind of it.

White Sox Sign Gordon Beckham, Designate Dayan Viciedo For Assignment

The White Sox announced that they have signed infielder Gordon Beckham to a one-year, $2MM contract and designated outfielder Dayan Viciedo for assignment in order to clear a space on the 40-man roster. Earlier today, SB Nations Chris Cotillo tweeted that a reunion between the Sox and Beckham was a possibility.
