The World Baseball Classic is now the Premier 12 (not exactly). Next tourney is scheduled for this coming November.

The article says it's not clear how this will co-exist with the WBC.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.

That's what I get for only reading 1/2 the article. Why would they launch this under the same umbrella and have 2 tournaments? Strange.

And Astros sign Rasmus. If you think the Cubs have an extremely flawed, 2-3 outcome lineup, just take a gander at the Astros lineup with Carter, Singleton, Springer and now this douche.

Geo NOOOOOO!
Quote:The White Sox and catcher Geovany Soto have agreed to terms on a minor league contract for the 2015 season, reports Bruce Levine of 670thescore.com. The Kinzer Management Group client will be invited to Major League Spring Training and compete for a 25-man roster spot, Levine adds (Twitter links).

It seems to be fairly common for a Cubs catcher... Geo, Hundley, Berryhill, Wilkins to name a few.

Man, I still remember how excited I was after he hit that HR in his first game, and how quickly he faded. It felt the same way with Baez and Soler. Hopefully at least one of them has something resembling a productive career.

So the Brewers are in "deep" discussions to trade for Papelbon. Why would they give up anything of value for this douche, when they could have simply re-signed KRod? After already trading away Gallardo, they don't seem to be improving at all, and actually seem to be much worse than 2014. Melvin is so Hendry-like at times, it's fun to watch him operate.

I don't get it either. I'm still kind of in shock over the precipitous decline of the Brewers last season. I don't want to look it up, but I feel like they were still in first place deep into August, no? And then they completely disappeared.
