MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
Hi Gad. Yeah, Walter and the Guggenheim group that purchased the team are all based here in Chicago. Where were they when the Cubs were for sale?

And I don't have a problem with the Kershaw deal. He is 26 and will still be in his prime well into the deal. I wish we had this problem.

Holy crap Sabathia has lost some serious weight! I hardly recognize him...

Holy shit yeah he did.  That doesn't seem like that would be a good thing for him pitching wise...losing that much weight in such a short time.

That is remarkable.  He is already losing velocity.  That couldn't have helped.  It looks like Prince lost some weight in the other photo as well.  That might greatly benefit his numbers.  I'll keep that in mind come SOIFBB draft day...

I was too busy looking at the rack on Prince Fielder's wife.

It's hard to tell comsidering that only half of Prince's body is in the pic. And those are some mammaries indeed.

All of their wives aren't too shabby.

Kinda wish we had him instead of Jackson.

Jackson maybe younger and hasn't had the health issues that Garza has shown but for the same money and years, I would also prefer Garza over Jackson.

Periodically, Garza would make bone headed play or turn in pedestrian start or two but when he's on and healthy, he could display TOR stuff.  The guy is a competitor.

Must be sleep deprived but that's a borderline Hawk Harrelson comment.  Glad I'm returning to Chicago shortly.

I'd rather have both. I'm selfish.

You wouldn't Garza back? Even if Smaradja is dealt?

I want a rotation where a guy who is an inconsistent as Garza is a 3 or a 4.

I've seen some tweets flying around showing that Jackson has a higher total WAR from 2009-2012 than Garza has.
