Prosecutors contend that the three men tried to lease high-end cars from dealers this year by providing phony information and claiming credit through a phony business called Home Free Systems.
Two dealerships rejected the lease applications but a third allowed the men to drive off with three cars, according to a statement from the district attorney’s office.
Police who arrested Dykstra on April 14 found cocaine, Ecstasy and the synthetic human growth hormone Somatropin at his San Fernando Valley home, the statement said.
Robison said Dykstra had not obtained a lawyer to represent him in the case.
“Of course I’m not guilty,” Dykstra told the Daily News of New York on Monday. “The car got stolen alright—stolen by them. I don’t have it anymore. It’s gone like my computer, my phone, my clothes.”

You can't know how much I hated Dykstra as a player back in the day, when we were in the NL East and he was a Met. I hated the Mets then every bit as much as the Cardinals and he was the focal point for all of my hatred. Nails can go be somebody's bitch in prison.

He didn't bother me as much when he was a Philly, but I'm with you for the most part. Very few players annoyed me as much as he did when he was a Met. Also, I sort of miss hating the Mets as much as I once did. When Dykstra starting writing bullshit for financial blogs and pretending to be a hedge fund manager a few years ago, it reminded me of why I despised him so much. Fuck him right in the ass indeed.

There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

Aside from the on-the-field blow-ups, Z is generally seen as a likable dude around MLB. Plus, he's never worn an Ed Hardy shirt to my knowledge.
