I think he'll hold up in the big leagues. What what I understand he has a few holes in his swing and tends to hit a lot of looping base hits. This last year in AAA he's really come together and locked himself in although he can come undone at any time especially when he's about to shit the bed.

I would think not. Seems kind of like a dick move. Not only is he coming into the downside of his career, but he has plenty of money. Kind of shady.

An ERA of 4 is probably his ceiling at Wrigley. It's a good deal for the Dodgers, but they can have him. We have enough #3/4 starters.

That Tulo deal surprises me - I know he's a stud, and still young, and the face of the franchise, and all that... but after Todd Helton and Mike Hampton, you'd think the Rockies would know that these kind of uber-long, uber-expensive deals almost never wind up ending well.

Tulo is a great player until he gets a nagging injury. That's a pretty long term deal, but if you want him to stay in Colorado you would have to give him that. Pitchers coming out of Colorado are always going to scare me, especially if you give them $10 mil a year.

But I think the Rockies could have offered the same deal next year, and Tulo would have taken it. I don't see the urgency of locking him up if he is already under contract until 2014.
