I think Jimbo will sign Milton Bradley. It helps a lot that Lou likes him too. And Bradley <i>wants</i> to be a Cub.

That's the thing KB, we all value OBP a ton. I can tell you for sure that I want a player with a .380+ OBP but not if the guy can't try to put the ball in play to score runs. The only type of player I don't mind that from is a guy like Theriot that isn't going to hit for power but just gets on base and can move well on the bases. He's not a power hitter that's supposed to drive runs in, he's merely there to get on base for others to drive him in.

That, and they take whatever you say and twist it to some absurd way that makes it sound like you don't know what you're talking about. For instance, Clapp compared Dunn to Soriano in terms of effectiveness in the clutch/playoffs. They turned it around on them and said:

"How can you compare the two, they aren't even close to the same player! Dunn is selective on what he swings at and only strikes out when he swings hard while Soriano swings at pitches out of the zone!!!"

I agree completely. Yes Dunn hits a lot of HR's and takes a lot of walks, he also hits .240 and is completely defensively inept. I don't watch a lot of Reds baseball, but I don't remember a series between the Cubs and the Reds where Dunn didn't fall all over himself in the outfield.
