Anyway, there's a 75% chance Hoff won't make the team (especially if Koskie or some other infield utility guy makes the 25-man), and on any given day, Fuk will likely be in CF.
Yes, Reed J. will occasionally get some time out there in RF, but against certain teams/pitchers, you KNOW Lou is gonna start Gathright...probably every time the other team throws a right-handed pitcher, which is 75% of the time.
Think Lou is going to ignore the platoon advantage, just cuz Gathright can't hit too well? Get serious.

Joey Gathright is not going to play in RF much if at all. He's played 1 game there in his entire career. If Bradley's not playing RF, it's going to be Fuk in RF and Reed in CF.

I just can't envision a situation where a weak hitter like Gathright ends up anywhere near RF, even for spot starts. Lou loves Hoff (despite his defensive deficiencies), and the way he's hitting, it's going to be hard to leave him off the roster. And Fuk is gonna get plenty of time between CF and RF as well, whether we like it or not, so the numbers just don't add up for me as to how a 5th/6th OF like Gathright would get the nod in RF over better options.
