Even though he reportedly turned down a deal with the Yankees, I don't think that ends talks. I just don't see them going out and getting Sabathia to let Pettitte get away that easy. Kind of taking two steps forward then two steps back. Well, maybe one back.

He'd be the best (and probably most expensive) #5 pitcher in baseball. It would also give us a 2nd lefty. I seriously doubt it would happen, but if he were willing to lower his price tag. If he wanted to pitch again, I can't imagine the Yankees not signing him.

Now let's play in the imaginary world where the Cubs do sign him. Do you move Lilly up to 3rd to keep from having lefties back to back?
