Cubs trade Pie
<!--quoteo(post=12894:date=Jan 21 2009, 05:39 PM:name=savant)-->QUOTE (savant @ Jan 21 2009, 05:39 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Theriot, Fontenot, and Soto will all be starters produced by the Cubs. Zambrano, Marshall, Wuertz, Guzman, Marmol all have a decent shot of being on the team. Lee, Ramirez, Harden and Gaudin were aquired using minor leaguers. Dempster was a reclamation project. Lilly, Fukudome, Bradley, and Soriano were free agents.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Fontenot was drafted by Baltimore and spent 3 or 4 years in their system. I wouldn't include him.
Just saying.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

Y'alls forgetting about Dontrelle. Sure, he sucks now, but he was pretty amazing for 3 straight years. He brought us Clement and twelve finger tony.

We also pretty much produced the 2002 AL ROY although that was his career year. Brendan Harris has been serviceable for the last couple of years too. Well, I guess he wasn't that great in 08 but had a nice 07 season.

Looks like no one has gotten a decent return, as of yet.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

Very nice use of colors! KB, take note.

I don't think any of the teams involved will get anything out of that trade, and 10 years from now no one will care about any of these players. They all suck. Garbage in, garbage out.
