From what I have seen of Dunn so far in the WBC he looks like he is on a mission. Of course, you know exactly what you will get with him.

The US will never win this tournament unless they start getting guys who play to win for their country with the passion of the everyone else. This is embarrassing. And not so much on paper, because Team USA could be way better if players actually played rather than skipping it (i.e. Teixeira, Sabbathia, Berkman, Howard, Lincecum, Utley ,etc.).<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
if i'm them, i'm skipping it too. they play for teams that are paying them millions of dollars, fuck the wbc. i'm glad they all skipped it.

How can we want it both ways? Either we want the best out there and for them to play balls out, or keep them safe, but don't bitch when they don't win.
The US is not that much better than the rest of the world that we can get away with putting a good, but certainly not great team together and then give 75% and expect to win. We already found that out with basketball.
So we have to choose... either put an all star team out there and have them work hard, or do what we're continuing to do, but don't expect them to win.
I got nothin'.

Oh come on!!! Isn't five games enough to evaluate his performance? Against shitty pitchers at that?

Not a good start for Ted. Delgado just took him dead center. 3-3 in the 4th.

It was pretty damn good to time that jump right, running back to the wall. He made it look easy and he's made that play a few times.

It's raining in Florida and they HAVE to get the game in today. This should be interesting.

I think its kinda pointless to play these "for seeding purposes only" games anyway. They should just cancel it.

Yeah I'm a dumbass, they're both in... sounds like they might not play it.
They also said the USA's considered adding D-Lee to the team to replace Youkilis for the next round, but he's out a few days himself with an injury.
