I'm not sure what makes you say that. He's pitched well so far and I've had high hopes for him, but he's pitched 6.1 innings this year to the tune of 2.84 ERA and 4 strikeouts. Is it just cause he's a converted position player?

Yes. I was kidding. Though it will be interesting to watch.

Good to see that Colvin's got it up to .270 in A-ball.

Good to see that you'll continue to defend the absurd (even at the time) Tyler Colvin draft pick.
He's a 23 year old in A-ball. Last year, in Double A, he hit .256 with a 736 OPS.
His career batting average, over 4 minor league seasons, 337 games,
and over 1300 at bats?
.274

Of course, 337 games may be the wrong "kind of measuring stick."

the Colvin pick looks to be the wrong one right now, but to claim it was ABSURD, even at the time, is a pretty big stretch KB. Yes, they should have taken Snider, but the idea that picking the high schooler who may not be able to play defense is a no brainer, and taking the 20 year old college player with developing power is ABSURD, is pretty unfair. At the time of the draft, the only college hitter who people thought was clearly better than Colvin was Matt Antonelli, and I can't believe you are shitting in your pants because we don't have him.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

Hi, I'm not defending anyone. I don't give a shit about Colvin, he'll never see a second of MLB time. All I was saying is that 11 games into the season, positive or negative, his BA means nothing nor do any of his other stats. I'm well aware that he's been shit since coming to the Cubs, there's little to no chance of that changing. Take some meds.

I am pretty sure the only reason he is in A ball is because he is still recovering from some kind of off season surgery. Somebody can correct me if I am wrong.

11 walks for Colvin is extremely encouraging (even at Daytona).

I'm going to go see the Iowa Cubs in Nashville next week. Too bad the Shark won't be there.
