You make interleague play ongoing throughout the season (not every team playing every team, just spread the existing number of games over the span of 162 instead of a couple of isolated weeks) and there isn't an issue.

With that ballpark the Rockies probably wouldn't have an issue, Coors is made for a DH. The Astros remain in the NL and Texas continues to have an NL and an AL team for the people that would be bothered by that. It really needs to get done and it's astounding to me that Selig hasn't already done it.

Makes sense to me. And anyone who still believes that interleague play needs to have its own designated time during the season isn't paying attention. The "newness" of it all has worn off to a great extent. Just integrate the games into the entire season and be done with it already. You wanna improve balance and stop treating some games as a sideshow? Get over yourself already and do what's best for the game, Selig.

I just think its completely unfair that one set of teams have a 25% chance of making the playoffs and one set of teams have a 16% chance of making the playoffs (not including the wildcard). No other sport does that, and it's total bullshit.

It really is. I can't believe the NL Central teams don't seem to be making much of a stink about it.

I can't believe the teams, the players, the union, etc. have allowed this to go on for as long as it has. It's always bothered the shit out of me and now I'm all worked up about it again. Fucking horse shit.

I would love it if it happened, because we would play the Cards and Brewers like 19-20 times, rather 15 or 16. Those are our rivals right now, it would make more cutthroat. Plus, it wouldn't be like 2006 I think it was, when the Cards came to Wrigley just twice.

It could've happened before the teams, cities and league invested tens of millions of dollars on new stadiums. You can't do that and then eliminate the team.

Pittsburgh and Kansas City both have fan bases. The problem is that their teams have been so shitty for so long, that they've tuned out.

Pittsburgh and Kansas City both have fan bases. The problem is that their teams have been so shitty for so long, that they've tuned out.

I think AZ does too, just that they're a little new, so they suffer from the fair weather fan syndrome. I'm not sure if DC or FLA will ever develop real fanbases though.

I'm coming to the conclusion that the Brewers might be for real and the Cardinals probably aren't -- but they're going to hang around like they did last year.

I also think it's safe to say that unless Bradley, Soto, Fontenot, and Lee start hitting, we're going to be looking at the Wild Card -- if we're lucky.

No, their pitching has been better so far. Their rotation is: Gallardo, Suppan, Bush, Looper, Parra. Unless they all have career years, they are not better then I think.

Their bullpen is a lot better than people think, but their rotation is pretty average outside of Gallardo. Their offense is solid. They are probably an 80-85 win team if we or the Cards don't falter. Otherwise, they could probably be around a 90 win team, but they would need the entire division to underachieve IMO.

Gallardo is the real deal. Bush is actually pretty good -- look at his WHIP over the years. He doesn't give up a lot of walks or hits -- he just gives up a lot of homers. If he can keep the ball in the park, he's very effective. Looper, Suppan, and Parra are all serviceable. With their offense, it isn't the trainwreck of a pitching staff that most people think. It's actually pretty solid.

The Brewers offense can keep them in games. their pitching will get worse. Maybe not worse enough to screw them, but they won't stay at this level.
