DeRo traded to Cards

The Cards are also going after Matt Holliday or Jermaine Dye. If they get one of those guys to go along with DeRosa, it will put them over the top. DeRosa will help more than you think.

Actually, I think this move greatly diminishes their interest in those guys.

Luckily, I don't think the Cards have the trading chips to get either of them.

What really sucks is that we are going to stand pat. With ownership still up in the air, our hands are tied.

How can they afford either of those two?

I don't think they can, I think getting DeRosa is their move from the offensive side.

With Perez gone that makes it much more difficult for them to get Holliday.

The A's aren't trading Holliday for a garbage package from the Cards. If they keep him, he's a type A FA and they get picks. The Cards will have to take all of his salary and give up top prospects to get him. I don't see it happening.

Agreed

I'd take both of them over Sanchez.

I could be down for Teahen.

Its a big upgrade.

Not to mention the Cubs have absolutely zero production at 2B/3B and DeRosa was the best one on the market. Maybe we can get Wigginton or something.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Or Freddy Sanchez.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yes Please!

The fact that DeRosa went to St. Louis is a kick in the sack. Anywhere else and I wouldn't really care. Well, Milwaukee would've been sucky too.....

It wont happen, but a thought crosses my mind. I'd like to see DeRo play a few games in St Louis.. and then come out to say... "This place fuckin' sucks..." If only but hes too professional and I hate to say it but will probably perform pretty well for them
