You know, it's things like this that really confuse me on people's attitude for Bradley.
Feel free to hate him cause he's sucked since he's been a Cub, or for a few of the comments he's made, or even for the amount of time he's missed. But why would you be pissed off because he did what Dempster, Zambrano, and others have done all season long?

I haven't seen Dempster and Zambrano forget outs, struggle in every possible way, fail to fit into our lineup like we had hoped, keep a smug face on 24/7, and my list goes on and on. He could be content with his failures, and not throw tantrums, and I'd still want the motherfucker shipped to Pittsburgh.
I hated the signing, hated his attitude, his behaviour and his overrated hype that people gave him. But oh, his OPS was soo great last year. Well heck, I bet if Reed Johnson bat in front or behind Josh Hamilton, he would benefit too.
The guy is overrated, and has been a failure at every place he's been. He's been run out of Cleveland, Los Angeles, San Diego, and the list goes on. It's time to stick Fox and Hoffpauir in right and send this fucker on his way.

I think playing his home games at Arlington park and sporting a 1.145 ops there had more to do with leading the league in OPS than hitting in front Hamilton.

...and playing most of his games as a DH.

And even more.

QUOTE Milton Bradley spoke to Cubs beat reporters before Saturday’s game and confirmed that manager Lou Piniella called him a "piece of [expletive]" during their confrontation Friday at U.S. Cellular Field.
“It’s Lou Piniella,” Bradley said. “To me, Lou Piniella is somebody. If it’s a motivating tactic, taking a different switch because people say he didn’t have fire, I understand.”
Piniella said Saturday he apologized to Bradley for the remark.
He said it was “made in the sanctity of the clubhouse” and was upset it was leaked to the media.
Asked if he was singled out by Piniella since other Cubs players have made a scene in the dugout, Bradley said, “Like I’ve said, I don’t have the same set of rules as other people. Because of the mistakes I’ve made in my career, I don’t get the leeway other guys get to a certain extent.”
Bradley is in the lineup, batting third and playing right field, for Saturday's 3:05 p.m. game against the White Sox. The Cubs' full lineup is after the jump.
The Cubs are concerned over alleged leaking of the confrontation between Bradley and Lou Piniella by White Sox security. The Sox are denying the accusations.

I feel bad for the dude.
It's just too bad that his psyche is as fragile as his body.

This is so Cub-like, it's not even funny. Why did I think that Bradley would be a success here? Why did I get my hopes up? There's really no good solution to this other than trading him or letting him go in some way--which isn't an option given payroll limitations.
And I'm not blaming everything on Bradley. It's just that I had high hopes for him--should have had some caution, and I didn't.
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

He isn't tradeable, so you might as well forget that. You've gotta hope he just gets his head on straight and starts to hit.

I haven't completely given up on the guy, but he's on thin ice with me. I just hope he can slide into the background a little and cool off. He needs to be out of the spotlight. He'll never live up to whatever lofty expectations some people had for him, but if he can just get to a point where he is productive during his non-DL time, then at least we can salvage part of his ridiculous contract.

I'm willing to be more patient with him than most anyone else, simply because I've always liked the dude. The rest of the team is hitting like shit too, so I'm not going to single Bradley out just because he's a dumbass.

I remember that play -- it's from the first series in Houston.
