So... two keepers? and you give up the pick a round before the round where the guy was taken to keep the guy (unless it's the first round, in which case you give up a first rounder, and you can't keep your second rounder)?
Also, how do I find out who was on my team (Royale wif Cheese) at the end of the season (i.e., in case Coldneck was crafty and picked up someone that I want to keep)? Or is that un-possible?

Its possible to see final rosters, I posted the link earlier in the thread, not sure if you could see them Ace, but anyone who was in the league should be able to. I can post the final roster for Royale Cheese.

BTW your team took 2nd in the regular season Acey Pants, not a bad team at all, Steve Smith wasn't even drafted last year, I don't think, so you could keep him for a last round pick? Is that right? Plus Gore or Deangelo Williams as options.... better off than my team.

I'm not sure it was ever finalized, but I think I suggested that anyone picked up during the season could be saved as a 6th rounder the next year. Obviously that's open to discussion, but it's tough getting the easy stuff out the way.

i think keeping an undrafted with at least a 6th is fine. i only remember 1 guy on my team at the moment but i'm still down for 3 keepers. if it goes the other way i won't bitch though

Keeping an un-drafted with a 6th seems sorta brutal, when you could keep a 15th rounder with a 14. I'm not sure what most leagues do about that though. I wouldn't be keeping any un-drafteds so whatever works is fine. I prefer 2 keepers, especially in a 10 team league with only 16 roster spots. If everyone kept 3, you'd be looking at close to 20% of the league being keepers.

Two keepers is fine. One of my keepers might possibly be someone I picked up off of the waiver wire but was drafted. So would I lose the a pick in the round before where he was drafted or a 6th since he was on the waiver wire? I am assuming the round from where he was drafted but want to make sure.

I gotta agree with Fella on both counts. 6th rounder seems steep for a guy who went undrafted - and who would cost a 15th if only he'd been taken with the very last pick.
The last round might be a bit cheap, though. Maybe something like the 10th round is a compromise?

We experimented quite a bit with this in the keeper league I've been in for a while. Basically the 6th round was settled upon for a couple reasons. Any guy you pick up off of waivers was available in the 15th round, and no one took them. You should not not be rewarded to that extent for picking up a guy. On the other hand, you should get SOME credit for finding a good guy on the waiver wire, so after a lot of experimentation, we settled on the 6th. It's a mid round pick, so it's a compromise.
Obviously if you guys all want to change it, that's fine, but since getting 10 guys to respond, let alone agree, is difficult, I'm throwing this stuff out there because nearly every problem we are discussing is a problem that my league has dealt with already.

It would be the 6th round (or whatever we decide on that). Once a guy is cut (NOT traded), his draft position no longer matters. He becomes a free agent just like anyone else.

still down with a 6th rounder. every year there's a stud or two that goes undrafted and studs should cost something. i like Bt's explanation. reward an owner for finding him, but don't reward him too much when luck has a lot to do with it.

also, everyone who's in the league is on here sometimes. i say we take those who don't speak out either way when rules are being discussed are just considered to be cool with whatever's decided in this thread.

Can someone post my teams roster at the end of the season? Thanks.
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

Yes, but the explanation applies equally to a 7th rounder, 8th rounder, 9th, etc. I agree with the explanation - I just think a 6th is too high.
