So I went and saw this the other night and thought it was just fantastic. It's fun and silly and the soundtrack really does a good job in assisting with the story. It reminded me a bit of Almost Famous as a journey through rock n roll. It did tend to kind of drag a little towards the end but overall it was worth it. Very fun movie which I give a 3.5 out of 5.

It looks like fun and I'll probably see it. That said, unless it's about how a bunch of suits from Dallas figured out how to force Britain's (and really, most of Europe's) hand into opening up to the huge untapped economic potential of advertiser supported radio, as opposed to the rock-and-roll-rebels-defy-authority-and-fight-the-good-fight-for-the-sake-of-the-kids morality play it appears to be, then it's essentially horseshit.

And yeah...it does look like PSH is playing Lester Bangs from Almost Famous again.

That is exactly what I thought when I first watched the trailer a while back. This looks interesting, but I think I will wait for it to hit cable.

Agreed on the Lester Bangs part but while he is essentially the biggest actor in the movie he isn't really the main star. I don't normally see movies in the theater but I would definitely go and see it again.
