dollhouse canceled

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->NEW YORK – "Dollhouse" will soon be going out of business.

The Joss Whedon fantasy drama ends after its current 13-episode order, with the series finale scheduled to air Jan. 22, according to a person familiar with the show who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to discuss it.

Off the Fox schedule during November, it returns Dec. 4.

"Dollhouse" is about a high-tech prostitution service, with Eliza Dushku (ee-LYE'-zah DOOSH'-koo) starring as an escort who can be implanted with different personalities to accommodate each client.

Created by Whedon, best known for "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," the series arrived last February with great fanfare, but struggled to find an audience. Its cancellation was first reported Wednesday by the Hollywood Reporter.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I really like this show, but I missed the first month of it this season because I didn't even know it was back on. I watch Fox at times, and I never saw one fucking promo for it. They didn't back this show at all, and Whedon should be pissed. Oh, and it's not really a prostitution service. Granted, it can act in that fashion, but that's not what the dolls are always used for. Some new cast members this season had me more excited about the show, so it's really too bad. Fox fucked this up.
