Law chat transcript
Lots of Starlin Castro knobshinin' here. Good to see. He likes Jackson a lot, too.

I'd really like to see Castro in ST, because I'll be honest, from the handful of video clips available of him online, he just looks like a raw talent. I'm not going to make a judgment yet, because he's so young, but all the hype is starting to scare me.

I disagree Rok....I don't want him anywhere near ML camp this spring. The guy is only 19 right? I fear that the Cubs are going to try and rush him as it is, I would hate for him to come to ST and put up outstanding numbers and break camp with us. I would love to see him play the whole season in the minors and maybe get a September callup.

If Castro comes into ST and rakes, he still will go down to the minors.

He may get called up during the year but baring injuries I just don't see Castro getting any serious playing time this year.

Yes. If he looks anything like an adequate SS, we'll see him far before September too.

He'll be 20 in March.

If the kid can prove that he can play at the big league level there is no reason to hold him back. There is also no reason not to have him in the big boy camp.

The "big boy camp" is the place Cigar went to fix his bed-wetting.

My only hope with respect to Castro is that Castro's performance dictates how quickly he is brought up, not Theriot/Fontenot/Baker's performance.

I am hoping with every fiber of my soul that the Cubs are considering NOT going with the Fontenot/Baker platoon when Hudson is sitting out there!

They're not considering it, it's already been decided on.
