Is it pronounced "Noddy" or "Naddy"?

I've always pronounced Nay-dee. No idea if I am correct though.

Bruce Levine is reporting that Hudson is asking for 8 million a year. That ain't gonna happen.

I'm happy to see him added. I was looking through his splits and saw a few interesting things.

http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/...=Career&t=b

His platoon splits are pretty much average. He's not that much better at hitting lefties. It sounds like he'll be taking some of Kosuke's starts against lefties, but I think he'll do well filling in against righties when needed as well.

He has some good opposite field power. 15 HRs in 112 opposite field hits.

If it's on the ground, he's pretty much out. .509 OPS on ground balls.

Has a better OPS against finesse pitchers vs. power pitchers. It's likely that he can hit a breaking ball.

God I wish we were able to get Hudson...

No way Hudson gets $8mil after the way he finished the season and pretty much ended on the bench.

If that's true, he'll be with Kinetsu by March 1st...

I'm excited we got him, and I thought he was huge in 2008. I just still am worried about his injury and that he hasn't played since his one career year in '08. That said, as a 4th OF, and for a great price, we really can't go wrong.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

I think if we rest him enough, he will be just fine getting 300-400 ABs switching around between LF/RF/1B. All indications are that he is healthy now. Sure, it's a risk, but a high reward type risk that I can live with. It is nice to have a couple of versatile players like Nady and Baker too.

.308/.383/.471 is quite a bit better than .270/.316/.453

Fuk should never start against LHP now as long as everyone is healthy.
