2010 Minor League Roundup
#61
To be fair, Koronka only pitched in 4 games for the Cubs.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena. [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

I saw his MLB debut, at Dodger Stadium. Lee went 5-for-5 with 4 RBIs and we capped off a sweep. Best game I've ever been to.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

Ah. For some reason I felt like it was more than that.

If he keeps it up, they're going to end up finding a spot for Bobby Scales.

We already have this guy playing left field.

Two errors 10 games into the season isn't anything to worry about though.

What about the 30 some-odd errors he had last season? And no, they can't be blamed on the quality of minor league infields.

Jeter made 56 errors at the same levels that Castro made his 30 errors, he turned out okay. If you want to look at error totals for Castro on near major league quality infields take a look at his numbers from the Arizona fall league last year.

Since I'm too lazy to go look it up...is Scales a legit prospect or some journeyman who's going to come up, play a year as a utility infielder then be on his merry way?

He's like 35, his prospect status has been revoked.

Well, just last year, we had Jake Fox hitting as well as Scales, only with power, and for months we dawdled and dawdled about bringing him up. By the time he finally hit the roster, his blazing hot streak had waned.

My roundabout point: if we're gonna bring up Scales, let's do it pronto, before he reverts to the same ol' guy he's always been.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance
