I'll respectfully disagree. I was majorly disappointed.

I have read, though, that Isaac has shows when he's absolutely plastered and it ruins the show, but I guess that wasn't the case at any I've been to.

They're actually coming to Summerfest in Milwaukee this year, which is pretty damn cool for a festival that is usually full of a bunch of crappy music.

You should come to pitchfork festival this year...they're headlining it.

Then again, an outdoor ampitheater is probably not the best place to see a band like MM. One thing that bugged me though is he doesn't even try to sing. I realize that's kinda his style but it wasn't working live for me.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

almost all fugazi shows cost $5. almost all fugazi cds cost $10. there is no fugazi merchandise. fugazi loves you.

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yeah Summerfest usually doesn't have a whole lot that I'm at all interested in. It's become mostly a classic rock festival without too much new or exciting.

Pitchfork... There are some bands I want to see but they seem to be spread pretty equally over the 3 days. If most of them were on one day I'd probably think more seriously about going.

Missed this, but yeah, I was there in '95. That place is pretty damn sweet.

There was at both Sugar shows I saw, yes.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

If this was spring of 1993, then I was there as well. It was a Friday night show, and afterwords, I drunkenly stumbled over to the Riv and bought tickets to see the 10 O'clock Goo Goo Dolls show.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

They said something about being able to stream the entire album on NPR.org this morning on the radio.

Cool, thanks. This sort of thing usually isn't my cup of tea, but for some reason they've grown on me over the years.

I'm going to be seeing Bob Dylan for the 1st time in a couple of weeks. I'm not a superfan or anything, but figured it would be pretty cool to see him one time. Anybody seen him live lately, or ever?

So speaking of concerts, I saw the Melvins last night in a little club in Aspen. I was up front all night... My ears are still ringing. I really need to start wearing ear plugs to shows. I'm eventually going to wind up with tinnitus at this rate, but I hate the way they muffle the sound. Phan, do you, or anyone else for that matter, have a good recommendation for quality musical ear plugs?

I saw the Pixies for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I had a good time.

Missed the Matador Festival at the Pearl last weekend. It was too expensive, and I'm broke.

Going to see Interpol in two weeks, and I'm not all that excited about it. I'm sure I'll feel different that night since they put on a pretty good show.
