This had to have been the worst series for this team in years.

Agreed. I can't really add anything, except to say that this series was arguably some of the worst baseball the team has played since 2006. Lackluster in every respect, sans a few good bullpen innings.

Considering every pitcher we faced (including the bullpen and closer) had ERA at 7.00 or above and we scored 5 runs in three games, this might be the worst series I've ever seen the Cubs play -- offensively, at least.

Fucking incredible. So, as a team, they've been giving up close to 7 runs a game. WE SCORED 5 RUNS IN 3 GAMES.

Pathetic.

What? Hockey is an exciting sport, butchie. And the Blackhawks are really Chicago's only hope right now.

I've tried to watch hockey a few times -- including a playoff game this year. It just doesn't do much for me.

I have watched more hockey the last two to three weeks than I have in my entire life. I have really enjoyed it as well. I have caught myself screaming after a few goals already.

I am right there with you Butch. I watched the first two periods of the game a couple nights ago and I was bored. It seems to me that it is one of those sports that is much better to watch in person.
Reply
I'm not sure how anyone can be bored during a hockey game, especially considering the amount of baseball they watch. Hockey has something going on every second of every game. If you're gonna get bored watching a sport, wouldn't it be baseball? Don't get me wrong, I love both sports but baseball moves way slower than hockey. Mound visits, pick offs, a pitcher just pitching slow all happen in one at bat. Sometimes an AB can take 7-10 minutes. If you're gonna get bored during a sport, it's gonna be baseball.
