See, I think the question is can he raise it high enough for someone to fellate him for longer than it takes him to cum.

I'm using medicated Chap Stick. It's awesome...
And...you bring Hendry back because you have to assign some semblance of blame to those who are actually playing the game.
It's been a shit season on the field...period. Even Hendry's moves from this past winter were good.

Hendry is NOT back for 2011. Hendry MAY be back for 2011, but absolutely NOTHING changed today, other than Lou confirmed what most of us thought was inevitable. Ricketts didn't say "full stock" he said "full stop". Which is to say, he said "Jim Hendry is our GM, period". Ricketts did NOT confirm he will be GM in 2011. He did confirm Hendry will be GM until the end of this year.
That's it.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Again, do we really think Hendy will stick around to find and hire a new manager and then fired soon after? I don't see it.

I think Hendry is gone after this season. Full stop.

"He will be leading the effort to find our new manager for next year here and will be our general manager going into next year."
I can't see him hiring the manager and then be promptly dismissed. If there's going to be a new GM, that person should hire the new manager.
The other scenario makes no sense.

the way I see it going down...
If he gets us to the post season, or at least second place, it's his job to keep.
Otherwise, I see Ricketts firming up Wilken, and O.F. in the mean time, and bye bye Jim or more likely bumping him "up" to some other "position in the organization"
I also see some combo of Brenly/Girardi and Sandberg working on the same staff, as Ryno really needs Major league bench experience before taking the reigns. They also have to roll past the minority "usual suspects", but you know it's going to be one of those three.
Fat Bastard is an immensely obese, hardly able to walk (weighing a metric ton) gardener and henchman hailing from Scotland. His extreme size endows Fat Bastard with super-human strength as exhibited by his prowess in the Sumo ring from Goldmember. This makes him a formidable enemy for Austin Powers. Fat Bastard is noted for his foul temper, his frequent flatulence, his vulgar and revolting bad manners and his unusual eating habits, which include taste for Human infants (which he calls "the other other white meat") or anything that looks like a baby, e.g. small people. Fat Bastard has been a regular at Cub games since the early 80's when he tried several times (unsuccessfully) to eat the visiting San Diego Chicken.

This.
Multiple MLB managers and multiple writers have said the same thing (not about Ryno, but about untried managers in general, the most recent being AJ Hinch of the D-Bax.)
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

I am big believer in the Scarey-defense that Hendry has never really had a an entirely fair opportunity, between the stingy Trib, then the push by the Trib before selling, and then pretty much not having an owner for two years. Assuming this all really does mean he's back, we'll see if can actually do the job with a stable organization.
The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Being a Cubs fan is the only path to rightousness and piousness. Cardinal and White Sox fans exist to be the dark, diabolical forces that oppose us. They are the yin to our yang, the Joker to our Batman, the demon to our angel, the insurgence to our freedom, the oil to our water, the club to our baby seal. Their happiness occurs only in direct conflict with everything that is pure and good in this world.

It's spelled "BRENLY."
If they don't give the job to Ryno then he probably winds up managing another franchise within a few years. Ryno isn't gonna sit around as the Cubs' manager in waiting because whoever's hired will have it in mind to be successful...and manage a fair bit longer than a handful of years. The only way to keep him in the fold, other than giving him the job now, is to make whoever's hired put him on his coaching staff. Even then, if an offer comes...he's probably gone. In my mind this probably means he's got an edge on getting the managing job whether or not he's the best available candidate.

Hendry is like Lane Kiffin. By surrounding themselves with good people, they are able to gain more opportunities.

And maybe you won't. A new manager won't be hired until AFTER the season. If the Cubs finish badly, Ricketts can fire Hendry AFTER the season, and bring in a new GM and Manager, and he won't have contradicted anything he said today.
I'm not claiming Hendry will or won't be back. I'm saying none of that was proved one way or the other by Rickett's press conference yesterday. The only people who should be disappointed are the people that were hoping Hendry would be fired mid season, as that does not appear to be the case.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.
