Late Night with the Devil looks like it could be kind of awesome. I'm excited to check that out.

Also, I just saw a trailer for Alien: Romulus. I keep having high hopes for these new Alien movies. Some have been better than others and having Alvarez at the helm gives me some hope...

Butch, you and I share the same brain sometimes and it's scary. I watched the trailers for both and read multiple reviews of Late Night with the Devil this morning, and want to see both movies big time. Also getting excited about the Noah Hawley Alien series coming to FX/Hulu soon.

Probably not in a theater, but it sounds very promising. Haven't seen a decent slasher since Terrifier. I'm intrigued though, so will seek it out on VOD once it's available to stream. Have you watched it yet?

rok -- I saw In a Violent Nature and I liked it a lot. It's like if some talented art school filmmakers took a Friday the 13th script and punched it up and attempted to add layers of subtext to the story. Mostly pretty successfully.

Watched A Quiet Place Day One last night. Pretty entertaining. If you like the others in the franchise, you'll like this one too.

A couple of horror movies I've seen lately...

Smile 2 -- pretty solid. Maybe a better movie than the original, but not quite as successful as far as scares.

Heretic -- the first half was awesome. The second half wasn't as great, but it's still worth a watch.
