I think his AAA numbers may make his AA numbers look silly by comparison.

Dont know who pointed it out, but I didn't realize that his numbers this spring are even better than they were last spring....and after last spring the meatballs were already calling him to make the big league team.  I can't help but get excited about is guy.

Assuming he gets the call-up this year, it will be interesting to see when that happens.  If my understanding is right, it only needs to be at some point in May so that 2014 wouldn't count towards free agency.  But in order for him to be ineligible to be a "Super Two" that would have him arbitration eligible in 2016, he couldn't be called up until some point in July.  I assume it would be the latter.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

I'm sure Theo and Jed would love to see his K rate go down and BB rate go up. In 39 spring ABs he has 12Ks and 0 BBs. In a full season last year his K% was 28.4% (147/517). That's the glaring weakness in his game and will only get worse as he moves up unless he is able to make adjustments.

^^^yep.  Ugh, hadn't realize he hasn't walked once yet.

According to Vogelbach's twitter, Trevor Gretzky is now with the Angels organization.  Was there a trade or something?  The Cubs didn't have any pending PTBNL's with the Angles, did they?
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

Hopefully we traded for his sister.

That's odd.  I could have swore he was with the Cubs still as of a month or so ago.

I was at the Dodgers v Australia game yesterday and watched Ryan Searle pitch for Australia. After a shakey start he pitched very well striking out 5 over 3 innings with 1 walk and zero runs. He throws a 2 seamer with good late movement, a change and a decent slider. Searle was at Daytona last season and was one of the best pitchers for them during the final series. He should be at AA this season and could figure to be in the bullpen for us maybe if he continues last seasons form.

He has 2 other Cubs (Edwards & Alcantara) in his top 71.
