Wrigley opens to 100% capacity for next weekend’s Cubs Cards series

Who’s going?

Do they say people should be wearing masks? At Oracle they do, but I haven't seen any Giants games this year so I don't know if people are. It's really fuckimg hard to see somebody at Wrigley wearing a mask on tv, looks like one out of 100 maybe. I was looking into tickets to go to Oracle but it's very difficult to find three and even harder to find three in the unvaccinated sections. We'd have to get our daughter (9) tested within 2 days of the game and show the results of a clean test.

Wrigley’s mask policy is basically if you’re indoors, mask on.

Here’s some of the content from the email with updated policy as of late May:

- Face coverings are recommended but no longer required for guests who are fully vaccinated except in all indoor spaces inside the ballpark.

- In addition to Wrigley Field staff, all guests two years and older who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear a face covering at all times except when actively eating or drinking while seated.

- Regardless of vaccination status, individuals who are at risk for severe COVID-19 infection (e.g., immunocompromised) should continue to wear a face covering while visiting Wrigley Field.

City of Chicago just confirmed it is fully reopening on Friday June 11, so hope to see an announcement by the Cubs shortly on returning to full.capacity.

Also, think of all the eating and drinking at the park. If I was at Wrigley I'd keep a mask on while walking around, but not while in my seat eating/drinking, then put it back on when done and just watching while in my seat. We have tickets for Cubs at Dodgers in a few weeks and I think it's back at capacity then, so I will probably do that.

Are they actually checking vaccination cards for the vaccinated sections, or is it on the honor system?

The home series when Cubs had a vaccinated section, attendees had to show proof of vaccination to gain access to section.

Same with At&t park.

it's just impossible finding 3 tics in those sections too.

Does Sogard have some sort of dirt on Ross or someone in the FO? He's just terrible.

He's somehow convinced everyone that simply making contact (even incredibly weak contact) is a really valuable skill.

Sogard isn't long for this roster, with Hoerner, Duffy, Marisnick and Bote all expected back soon. Only Ortega and Alcantara might also be seen as expendable, so it's going to be a roster crunch for sure. Get your insults in while you can.
