You're just worried about your mortality--as of the late Straw.

Sounds like West might've had him change his hat according to other tweets.

This is getting a bit ridiculous. MLB really needs to come out with a clear stance as soon as possible rather than leaving it up to Cowboy Joe.

Its almost as if he's always pitched like this.

I have to say, half the pitchers, Kimbrel being one of them, have really easy to see shit on their hats that they go to between every pitch. I despise Joe West, because who doesn't, but it is bizarre how suddenly this is like a thing half the pitchers do and it's so clear and easy to see. On the other hand, rosin is sticky and it's totally OK, every mound has a bag, so maybe this is that or similarly fine?? Just figure it out already and make a ruling mlb.

It's pretty surprising to me how Kimbrel has turned it around for the second half last year and even more so this year. He didn't have the command he's shown at the end of his tenure in Boston and just continued that in a big way with us for a couple years. I know he missed ST and last year was last year and that stuff is significant but still, his command is so much better than it was and he's 3 years older.

Closers and relief pitchers are so hard to figure. He, Bryant and our current pen have been pretty cool stories thus far this year.

Today's SP is still TBD due to Williams' appendectomy.

If the Cubs were healthy they'd either have a 6 game lead in the central or be 6 games back.

Man June looks pretty tough. Feels like.500 would be a win.

Going 500 for month of June without losing any additional players to significant IL time and Wrigley fully opening should turn Cubs into buyers for July trades

"We knew we had a good team starting the season," Cubs manager David Ross said. "When you get to prove your beliefs and have a really good month like we just had, it's always encouraging. But, we've got a long way to go as well."

I love how positive Ross is and really everything about him as a manager. And I know it's more than the pen that's responsible for this last month but the pen who counted on Adam, Brothers and Workman was pretty awful. When they brought up Steele, Thompson and Nance, it changed everything for this pen, who now have reliable arms to get to the 9th.

It's pretty impressive that this club has these hidden gems to do something like that. There has to be some good fortune tied to this but I guess we have Theo and the people he put in place to thank for that. Hoping Jed had something to do with it too and can keep the ball rolling.
