8 all star appearances doesn't mean shit. he played for the mets when the mets were good. he was gonna make the all star team no matter what. championships don't mean shit because the mets were a powerhouse with a fantastic pitching staff.

strawberry was extremely overrated. the all star appearances bear that out. he led the league in 4 offensive categories, all in one year and never led the league in anything else ever. he had a couple real good years, a handful of decent years and a whole bunch of shitty years. O.VER.RATED.
