Phillips asked the Nats for an extension to okay the trade. He's owed 2/27 right now. What a money hungry asshole. Obviously the money is more important than winning to him.

I'm not sure why this is news. I don't think anyone was expecting them to resign him. It will be interesting to see what kind of contract he gets.
