I like the light blues but damn it develop a competitive roster and I won’t care what the unis look like

Do you think making these uniforms will prevent them from signing a legitimate closer? I feel like they could do both of those things.

Seems like Cubs ownership could pull out the following comment any day now

‘Well, we were in the process of finalizing a multi-year deal with Tanner Scott but ticket sales increased after announcing the return of baby blues alternate uniforms so I’ve informed the front office that clearly new uniforms is the market dynamic that the Cubs will further leverage’

Hey, how else is he supposed to afford to run a Premier League team and a portfolio of high-end real estate if the Cubs are paying luxury tax each season? Plus, inflation.....

Seriously fuck him.

Also, dodger now signing Yates. This is ridiculous.

Good Christ. This is worse than what the Yankees were doing in the late 90s.

Yeah I think it’s way worse to be honest

Dodgers are simultaneously: using their financial strength to sign whomever they believe may help them; developing prospects; and scouting, drafting and signing both international and domestic talent.

It sucks to not be a Dodger fan - I admire their organization and players but not a fan - as they are doing what Theo, Jed and Tom said they would be doing over a decade ago but didn’t follow through.

No certainties in baseball but guess there’s likely a better than 83% chance that Dodgers make the playoffs and better than 24% chance they win the Workd Series. It’s silly but that’s the system and they are working it to their advantage
