Well, you have to understand that the awesome ferocious Cubs lineup was facing the unhittable starter Q and the Mets are facing Shota who is clearly no where near the pitcher that Q is. Plus, now that Nido brings his understanding of how Mets pitchers attack batters and his mighty 623 OPS, the Mets don’t stand a chance. Cubs are just spotting them 10 runs. What more can you say about the 2024 Cubs? Oh yeah, they suck

Historically bad pen at this point. Hoyer vowed to fix it in the off-season, I’m hoping he gets canned or not brought back next year. Full rebuild is in order.

I actually feel kinda bad for Counsell. He's got nothing to work with other than one of the worst bullpens in Cubs history and an assortment of mediocre bats. Obviously his decision-making hasn't been perfect either, but he's pretty far down on the team's totem pole of problems, imo.

But bullpen still sucks and Cubs still terrible O with RISP - Cubs lose by a run in 9th even without Neris blowing save and go 4-15 with RISP
