I watched that 2nd game live, something I never do.

My fault.

Glad I have someone to blame. Thanks a lot.

It seems like Adbert has been getting hit harder lately -- even in games that he has saved.

The offense needs a few wins that don't require him to pitch in the 9th. I think he needs some rest.

Our defense is so damn enjoyable.

Candy finally getting us on the board. Hopefully he keeps padding that career high HR total. Love to see it.

Assad putting together a gem of an outing as well.

Well said, Scarey!

And fuck our offense for coming up limp against shitty Reds pitching and putting our gassed bullpen in terrible situations for several games now.

Yeah, the offense really needs to wake up. They've given our pitching staff zero margin of error for what feels like an eternity.

We're 3rd in the NL in Runs Per Game with around 5 runs, so these last 2 games and the Brewers series thankfully haven't been the norm (we did put up 6 in the 1st game of the doubleheader). Unfortunately even when we score 5+, our pitching has allowed nearly as much the past month or so (in the long run, our pitching worries me much more than the offense). All that to say, you are right in that we need some easy wins for a change. The good news is I feel these recent games are more of an anomaly than the status quo, so hopefully they snap out of this mini slump today.

I honestly think moving Happ out of the 3 spot in the lineup would make a huge difference. He still has plenty of value offensively (high OBP, some good power), but he keeps coming up to the plate with runners on when you need to move them over or hit a sac fly and he'll either hit into a double play or strikeout. Put Belli 3rd -- he handles the bat so much better and you can almost count on him having a productive AB. Happ would be better off 5th or lower.

Good lord do I hate fucking Taillon.

He's the worst.

The offense started out promising, but has gone flaccid again vs. this chump. WTF.
