The guy is incredible. Good to see him do it against the Marlins.

He's the best pitcher in baseball. I think 90% of fans would say that. Although, his manager is gonna have a hell of a decision to make at All-Star time; Ubaldo Jimenez has been out-of-this-world fantastic, and truly deserves the start.
What I noticed from this picture is the hugeness of Ryan Howard's smile.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

Kendry Morales broke his leg jumping on home plate after celebrating his walk-off grandslam.

It was only a matter of time. Those game-ending celebrations often look like they're going to end in an injury.
Morales is having season-ending surgery.

When the Cubs win a rubber game against the 4th place team from another division, they celebrate harder than teams celebrated when they clinched a pennant when I was a kid. I'm all for a bro-hug between pitcher and catcher and smiles all the way back to the clubhouse but the jumping up and down crowd at home plate after every low-impact win has just gotten so cheap. The Cubs are far from the worst though.
There used to be this idea acting like you've done done it before. Treating every little bit of success as an earth-shaking accomplishment just makes it look like the victors have surprised themselves. That's actually not so good.

Andres Torres has the best batting average in the NL over the last 5 weeks, and Casey McGehee leads the NL in RBI. Freaking incredible. They looked like ass as veterans on our Iowa team, and now they're dominating the NL.

But there is no better judge of breakout potential than Jim Hendry...I mean, he know Silva would be 7-0 by Memorial Day.

Torres played for Iowa in 2008. He is a career minor leaguer since 1998 that just had a good month for SF.
