If a batter can't hit breaking stuff, the pitcher is a pussy if he doesn't throw him a fastball?
Interesting.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Yeah, it made no sense...it was just whining...doing an impression of badass. It was still funny as fuck.

Washington promotes Walter Johnson Stephen Strasburg to AAA Syracuse.

You know who is the most perfect comp on Strasburg? They're so similar in college stats and AA stats that it's eerie.
Mark Prior.

If you've got MLB Network, you might wanna flip over. Dallas Braden is having himself a decent game through 8 against the Rays...
The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Being a Cubs fan is the only path to rightousness and piousness. Cardinal and White Sox fans exist to be the dark, diabolical forces that oppose us. They are the yin to our yang, the Joker to our Batman, the demon to our angel, the insurgence to our freedom, the oil to our water, the club to our baby seal. Their happiness occurs only in direct conflict with everything that is pure and good in this world.

How in the name of God do you have 2 PERFECT games thrown at you in 2 years?
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

Perfect game for Dallas Braden. Second time the Rays have had a perfect game thrown against them in less than a year.

I dropped Braden in my non-SOI league this week for Randy Wells, just before his start versus the Pirates.

There were a handful of hard hit balls in that game. The first out was almost a double down the line. And not a ton of strikeouts, either.
It just shows how much of a perfect game relies on the defense.

Jerry Hairston just hit a 13th inning game winning HR v. the Cards. He also hit the game winning HR yesterday.

The Padres have a reliever, Mujica, who pitched the last 2 innings. He faced 6 batters (1-6 in the Cards lineup) 16 pitches, 14 for strikes, 3KOs.

I'm more intrigued by the fact that Stubbs apparently has a new No. 7 hole, and it mystically helps him drive in runs. My holes don't go up to seven, and they've never helped my win anything short of tommy's lecherous ogling . . .
