Rangers sign Nathan, Feliz expected to move into starting rotation.
Nathan 2 year deal $14.5 MM with team option for 2014.
Significant move by the Rangers. Never thought that Nathan would leave the Twins.

That's a big deal for a guy that's had one bad season after coming back from TJ surgery.

I hope this is the high point of Braun's career. Fuck him.

While Braun had a tremendous year, I still think Kemp should have won. Kemp was 8 hits shy of becoming the first NL triple crown winner since 1937. I realize the Dodgers underachieved, given having Kemp and Kershaw on the same team, but what else does the guy have to do?
He lead the league in:
Runs
HR
RBI
Total Bases
WAR
OPS+
2nd in:
Slg%
OPS
Hits
SB
Extra Base Hits
IBB
He was a Gold Glove, Silver Slugger and 1 HR from being a 40/40 guy. While I fully admit to having a bias against Braun, I think Kemp kind of got hosed.
I got nothin'.

I agree completely, Andy. Kemp was jobbed. It isn't even as though the Dodgers were a terrible team, just mediocre mostly, so the argument that you have to be on a contender to earn an MVP award is idiotic to me. All around he was the best player in the NL no question.

Glad that Bobby V isn't known as arrogant or at all smug or the folks in Boston might become even more conceited.
Valentine has a great wealth of baseball knowledge but just can't see him as a fit for the Saux. Less than a month ago, their list of managerial candidates seemed like a who's who of young, smart baseball minds and the final choice is an established, experienced manager who hasn't has a job in baseball operations/management in the US for about a decade but it's OK as Bobby's a celebrity who's on ESPN.

Just glad it wasn't us. Remember when people thought we'd hire Colletti? Heh.

Apparently with Reyes heading to the Marlins, the Brewers are looking at A-Ram. I'm not sure how I would feel about that.
I got nothin'.
