They also signed a 22 year old (Carlos Quintana) who dominated in A ball for the Mets. Veal is 27 now, and I'm fairly certain that he will be out of pro baseball by ST.

So Pujols is meeting with the Marlins. Not a serious contender, I would think, as Pujols would/should make about 1/2 of what the entire teams makes in a season.

Actually the MarlIns are expected to be the biggest spenders this offseason what with their new stadium and being in downtown Miami. These aren't the same cheapo Marlins that we're used to.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.

Apparently the Dodgers are close to locking up Kemp for 8 years/ $160 mil. I know he had an insanely good year, but I'm not sure that you can project Kemp to continue to produce at that level ever again. Anyway, Colletti is awesome.

So apparently Astros owner Jim Crane has accepted to move to the AL in 2013, decision pending only on the other owners' approval.

Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.
So we will see a whole season inter-league schedule now? How many more inter-league games would that mean?
It doesn't have to mean any additional games. Most teams play about 15 interleague games per season (usually a few less for the NL Central because of the imbalance in number of teams). If you assume that becomes the standard when there's a uniform number of teams per division, by my math that's 225 interleague games per season.

Yeah, the only real difference is that now our divisional schedule would be more balanced and there would be year-round interleague play, which I am fine with.

Wow, 6 years and $90 million the offer for Reyes from Miami...

Verlander wins MVP
First starter to win MVP since Roger Clemens in 1986. So what year will Justin get nailed for lying to Congress? Just kidding. He had an amazing season.
