It was just a matter of time.

A Hendry special includes bouncing his nuts off Jim's chin.

Hendry special: -noun.
1. A baseball player who is marvelously gifted athletically, but is not skilled at playing baseball. 2. A player who wings the bat well, but who considers "taking a walk" to be an assault on his manhood. 3. A relief pitcher who is paid five times what he is worth.

5. A manager who is past his prime. (note: this fellow will be among the 2 or 3 most highly paid non-players in the entire sport.)

Looks like Lopez will get more playing time in St Louis. Cardinals get rid of Lugo. Traded to Baltimore for PTBNL.
Cards got the money for him from the Red Sox so they'll ship him off with the cash. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5046999

Lind gets 4 years for 18 mil? Is that a bit under his value?
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

He is a pre-arbitration guy, so under-value is to be expected. Still a very smart move by the Jays though. Barring major injury or just completely falling off the table, Lind would have almost certainly made more money going year by year. Guess he was too tempted by being paid a year early and being set for life.

But I'm conservative like that.
