MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
He's an 8th round draft pick and been in the minors for 5 years. I'm beginning to think maybe the Cubs' problem isn't drafting, but development.

I'm going to be pissed if this ends up being a Brewers/Cards NL Championship.
I just want to drink beer and play atari

Sox just named Ventura their Manager. Sure like those former players.

So I wonder who ends up with the Angels job. Wonder if Friedman takes it.

If healthy, he'd be a steal.

Don't know what his deal was. Glanced over his numbers from this past season and they weren't pretty.

In 2009 he was awesome. Then he got a hand injury and his numbers have gone from awesome to ugly.
I got nothin'.

I'm starting to wonder why no one will pick up Rick Hahn if he's such a hot up and comer. Seems odd.

I think he gets a lot of the blame for KW's sterling track record.

Prior to this offseason, Hahn was understandably holding out hope for the Cubs job while Hendry held it down, but this time around he clearly wasn't viewed as highly as the DiPotos and Cheringtons of the world. Anyway, I think eventually (as soon as next year) KW ends up getting the boot and Hahn will take over and do a decent job. Anyway, for some reason it bothers me that he is part of that organization.
